This is a nice reproduction of an original World War Two photograph showing a Japanese soldier surrendering to US Marines on Iwo Jima.  Another Japanese soldier can be seen being pulled out of his fighting position in the background.
Japanese soldiers rarely surrendered, and it was even rarer for it to be captured on camera on the battlefield.  This is a very nice photo, good clarity and detail.
