ART DECO c.1920s OOAK Ruby Red Onyx Pendant Necklace Drop Earring Set w/Portrait Circa: 1920s Markings: “Sterling” hallmark Style: Pendant necklace; drop earrings Color(s): Silver (metal); red, black (stones) Marked Material: “Sterling” Silver Unmarked Material (feel of): Onyx (stones) Additional Details / Inclusions: Art Deco OOAK 1920s Ruby red and onyx pendant necklace and earring set. Thin ornate sculpted chain-link necklace featuring stacked faceted ruby red and jet black semi-precious stone pendants in garnet and onyx at each side of necklace with an alternating stone pattern; long pendant with stacked ruby red faceted stones above larger ruby red faceted teardrop stone pendant at center front of necklace. Foldover style hooks clasp closure at center back of necklace; “Sterling” hallmarked at interior side of clasp closure. Drop dangle earrings featuring small prong-set ruby red stone at front top of earring; faceted ruby red and onyx stone drop pendants hanging on ornate sculpted chain attached to body of earrings at o ring. “U” shaped earring body with original screw back earring fasteners. Antique portrait featuring jewelry set worn by the original owner taken by Sills Portrait Studio in Sheboygan WI in the 1920s included. Some minor wear/patina to sterling silver chain and closure consistent with age/storage. Few scattered pinprick size imperfections/scratches to drop earring pendants; some minor wear/patina to body of earrings (not noticeable except upon very close inspection).
