Offered by Over The Blue Horizon and obtained in Tokyo in 2000 is a very nice, BRAND NEW TENUGUI depicting Imperial Japanese Army and Navy Air Force aircraft of World War II.
A TENUGUI is a cotton cloth, usually approximately 35 x 14 inches, that is multi-purpose but usually carried by Japanese somewhat akin to a large handkerchief -- used to mop one's brown, to dry off one's hand or face, etc.  All Japanese women have one in their purse, and most men carry one in their back pocket.  They are often printed with interesting subject matter and in this case, it's Japanese World War II aircraft in profile.  We obtained this as a gift from a Japanese military group and never used it.  It's attractive to anyone interesting in the Pacific War and maybe you will use it as a TENUGUI or find some other use for it -- the choice is yours!  Note this is a contemporary item but still very nice ....
Condition is BRAND NEW and it is folded up into a more convenient 9 x 3.5 inches.
